Hildana Deathstealer

To the tune of "Oh, Donna" by Ritchie Valens

Dirkee

Dirkee is a big mechanical that can pack a mean punch for your lower level characters.  For a map of Dirkee's spawn spots, CLICK HERE.

Vyragosa

Time-Lost Proto-Drake (Not required for the Frostbitten Achievement)

Vyragosa and Time-Lost Proto-Drake share spawn timers, spots and flight paths.  TLPD is a rare spawn off of Vyragosa.  In other words, if Vyragosa is due to spawn, it could actually be Vyra or TLPD that spawn.  (One or the other, not both.)  Time-Lost Proto-Drake is at the mercy of the random number generator.

While the respawn times used to be long-anywhere from 6 to 24 hours after either rare was killed-Cataclysm has drastically reduced the respawn timer, with reports of sightings as early as 45 minutes after either Vyragosa or TLPD is killed.

They have 4 spawn spots, but a huge flight area.  Depending on where they spawn, they fly either clockwise or counter-clockwise.  Once they leave their spawn spot, it can be hard to catch up with them as they fly very fast.  Therefore, the best strategy for camping is to pick a specific spawn spot and hope the RNG is good to you.  Some like to camp a specific spot on the flight path, such as over the Engine of the Makers.  This can give you the advantage of being able to monitor more than one spawn spot, possibly increasing your chance of getting either rare.

Time-Lost Proto-Drake is largely sought after because it drops a mount identical to itself in appearance, as seen in the picture above.

NOTE:  While spawn times may be shorter, it appears that TLPD still despawns 15 minutes after spawning, making finding him infinitely tougher than most rares.

For a map of their flight paths, CLICK HERE.
