Farming Finally Pays Off

Last fall when Mists came out I happily leveled my druid first, got her raid ready, then leveled my monk.  And when I found out that Mekgineer's Choppers didn't translate to Mechanohogs (at the time), I made her an engineer.  So for about 5 months now I've been wanting the Depleted Kyparium Rocket for a mount.

They take three orbs of mystery.  THREE!!!

Each orb is still 18k gold.  And that's not even including the 12 living steel, 12 spirits of harmony, etc.  Which I was able to farm and have the druid transmute, but still:  it takes time to get all of this stuff together.

And after months of transmuting and farming and selling on the auction, last night I finally achieved my goal:

I've also been working on the Alliance side of my account to get the remaining jeweler's mounts made.  I'm missing the jade and sunstone panthers, and of course the Jeweled Onyx Panther, which takes all 4 of the others to make.

In doing this, I've been using my lock to farm, since he's a miner and engineer, and I realized I could make the Gnomish Engineering mount, the Geosynchronous World Spinner, on him.

I used to complain about being broke all the time when I was raiding due to raid preparations and repairs.  The truth is no matter what I'm doing in game I find a way to spend gold!

Happy Mount Whoring!
