Yep, another 85.  That makes 8.  Here she is in her improved flying form:

I got a hard lesson in why I hate LFG again.  Yep, I hit 85 and tried to grind dungeons for Justice and Valor Points.  Now, mind you, this WAS on a Friday.

I did make it through several dungeons without MAJOR incident, but then I got my first ilevel 378 piece, and yes, just hours after hitting 85 (I couldn't believe it either) I was put in a Zul'Gurub group.  2 tanks and 5 party members later, including MYSELF once ( I left group, and it put me back in with them), I gave up for the day.  It wasn't so much the wipe after wipe, it was being told that the spell Venoxis cast that killed me, the one DBM kept screaming "Interrupt Now", was uninterruptible...

I decided it was time to let the kids play and for the grownups to find other things to do.  I went fishing.

And rare hunting.  On Dirathyn and on my warlock, Zalok.  He was able to help me update the Bloody Rare page with some pics, thank goodness.  At least the rest of my day wasn't a total waste!

What do you do when you get a bad LFG group?

Happy Grinding!

New Doo and Dear Tank

I have been leveling my new druid on Terenas.  I got her to level 76 yesterday!

To celebrate, I got her a new haircut.

Old Haircut:

New Haircut:

I still can't get over how blue she looks.

I finally started doing some dungeons, now that I have lifebloom and can heal better.  Which brings me to the second part of the title of this post.

Dear Tank,

  1. Your healer is your best friend.  ALWAYS WATCH HER/HIS HEALTH!
  4. Feel free to ignore the health of the rest of your party.  It is the healer's job to make sure you, first of all, are kept alive.  All other members are second in priority, depending on role and/or dps meters.  THE HEALER IS YOUR ONLY PRIORITY OTHER THAN THE BOSS/MOBS.
  5. And last, but not least, if you are new to tanking, please LET THE GROUP KNOW!  WE WILL HELP YOU, APPRECIATE THE HEADS UP, AND WILL USUALLY BE MORE FORGIVING!  If you don't let us know, we just think you are a horrible douchebag, and we will torment you mercilessly.  (Ok, I usually don't, but many do.)
I hope this helps you new tanks out there.

Happy Grinding!

I'm a Bat!

First, I'd like to apologize to +Jonathan Slater.  As of Friday night, my character was level 59, not 60.

Last night I got her to 60.  And finally got to realize the whole reason I made a troll druid in the first place:

Isn't she purty?  Troll flight form FTW!

Level 49 Already

I've spent the better part of this last week updating my Northrend Rare Guide and leveling my new troll druid.  I named her Dirathyn, a combination of my first two characters' names.

And she's level 49 already!  I've only done one dungeon with her.  It's all been from questing.

I took a couple shots of her in Thousand Needles and Tanaris.  I love the quests there!

Oh, Captain, my Captain:

She flew through the air with the greatest of ease:

I prowled past this bad boy so I wouldn't aggro:

I think black dragons are pretty!

What have you been up to?

Happy Friday the 13th!

Red Arrows

Today the Darkmoon Faire ends.   I'm probably the last to notice, but in case I'm not, here are the words on the red arrows on the path leading into the Darkmoon Faire:

The pictures above feature my latest character, a troll druid named Dirathyn.  My friend from my old guild said, "You should make a toon on Terenas and join this guild."  And I said, "But all my mains are on Korgath."  And he pouted.  (This is how I remember it.)

So I made Dirathyn.

She's a troll druid, and I thought I was making her green, but she's blue.  Hmmmm...

I love her kitty look:

But more importantly, I made a troll druid for one reason and one reason only:  her flight form will be a bat.  I want a flying bat.

Have Fun At The Faire!

Putridus in Grizzly Hills?

Putridus the Ancient is huge.  HOW HUGE IS HE??

He's so huge, I was in Grizzly Hills killing Syreian the Bonecarver when NPCScan went off for him.  That's right, GRIZZLY HILLS!

I got so confused, I started flying immediately.  I mean, I even had him targeted!  Of course, since he spawns in Icecrown, I couldn't see exactly where he was at yet.

About halfway across Zul'drak I thought to snap a picture for all of the doubters out there:

As you can plainly see, I have him TARGETED, he's at full health, and I'm still in Zul'drak.  I still have to go through The Storm Peaks to get to him!

Alas, as I made my approach to Icecrown from The Storm Peaks, his health bar turned gray and started to diminish.  He was dead by the time I got to him.  *Sigh!

Told you he is huge.

Happy Searching!

Record Rares?

I spent today leveling my only horde character on Korgath, a troll hunter named Nomoammo.  I bet you can't guess when I first made her...

I was always against having characters of opposite factions on the same server.  Then my buddy from my old guild said, "Make a horde toon and help me level."  So I made my hunter.  And then Cata dropped and we both quit playing our horde characters.

Slowly over the last year or so, I've been leveling her.  Today I took her from level 57 to level 62.  She had a beautiful sunset as she waited to take over the Stadium:

I decided to keep her and let her hunt mining bots, since my Ally toons can't hunt the Alliance bots.

Then, since I started making those rare guide movies and am hooked on getting Frostbitten once again, I hopped on Thyora and took a tour of Northrend to see what, if anything, was out.  In an hour and a half, I got these:

Old Crystalbark:

Zul'Drak Sentinel:

Seething Hate:

I thought the alive and dead pictures might be better for Seething Hate.

And Tukemuth:

I felt like I hit the rare spawn mother load!

Happy Leveling!

Fishing for Rares

Well, I finally got the Limnologist and the Oceanographer achievements.

Then I went digging for Canopic Jars in Uldum, since I STILL don't have my Vial of the Sands recipe, and came across these beauties:

Personally, I think red Madexx is pretty!

Happy Hunting!
